The City of Fayetteville, North Carolina's fire management department is one of the oldest organizations in the state. It was first chartered by the North Carolina Legislature in the 1791, consisting of citizen fire brigades who fought fires using only leather buckets. The worst fire disaster in the city of Fayetteville's history occurred in 1831, when over 600 stores, residences, and other buildings burned to the ground.(1) For this city, it was much like the Great Fire of Rome in terms of the devastation and economic impact it had on the city.
The survivors of a fire disaster suffer traumatic losses that range from destruction of personal property to the grief of loss of loved ones. And when fire happens in Fayetteville, North Carolina, just like anywhere else, it brings the community together. The true underlying character of the people who live here is made evident as they respond to assist the fire victim.
Showcase Restoration Co. has followed in the footsteps of our city's past, to support our local volunteer emergency first responders and follow up with assistance to the victims of fire.
While the fire department has grown in technology and ability to fight fires, the need for following up and rebuilding the homes and businesses and lives affected has brought innovation in restoration technology and techniques as well. Experts in restoration construction take knowledge of building further than a general contractor, and choosing the right one makes all the difference in a speedy and smooth recovery from a fire disaster.
Fire is terribly disorienting. It can be hard to think, even if you have an emergency plan in place. Often, victims of fire find themselves overwhelmed emotionally and psychologically, and they rely on their neighbors and emergency services to help them get through the experience.
They need people who know how to navigate the intricacies of filing insurance claims.
They need experts who can accurately estimate the cost of their loss.
They need professionals who can take the situation in hand, help them find the emergency resources for their immediate needs, and rescue as much of their property as possible.
They need a restoration company who can do the job right, so the victim can focus on coping with their losses with as few complications and as little extra stress as possible.
Choosing the wrong restoration company or general contractor is like adding insult to injury. This is why Showcase Restoration strives to be the restoration company of Fayetteville, North Carolina with the reputation of being reliable, competent. The mission is to reflect the character of the civic-minded citizens who first began fighting fires in Fayetteville with leather buckets, while bringing the newest and latest technology to serve fire victims in our community.
